1. What is Culture Card?

Culture Card Victoria is a card for international students studying tertiary courses at post-secondary institutions. Culture Card offers international students special events and the opportunity to meet and get to know other student friends.

Experiencing and understanding local culture is an important step to succeeding in your studies, career and life in Victoria!



2. How do I get a Culture Card?

You can collect your free Culture Card from your education provider's international student services centre or information hub. Please see Education Partners to view the list of participating education providers.

Culture Card information is also available at the Student Welcome Desk that operates at Melbourne Airport during peak student arrival times each semester.

 

3. My Education Institute doesn’t provide Culture Cards, how can I get one?

Culture Cards are distributed through student services centres at post-secondary education providers.

If your education provider is a post-secondary institution and does not have any Culture Cards, please ask your student services to contact us directly to place a card order, so that you can receive one.

4. Can I get into all the events for free with my Culture Card?

There is a great mix of events for international students to participate in through the Culture Card program. Some of the events are free for Culture Card holders and others are low cost.

Each Culture Card event is tailored especially for the program which gives international students an opportunity to meet each other and learn about Victorian life.

Visit the ‘upcoming events’ section of the website, there, you will find all that is on offer and what each event costs. 

 

5. Can I bring friends and family to an event?

Culture Card Victoria is for post-secondary international students.

The events on offer are for international students, and where noted ie ‘bring a friend’ or ‘two for one tickets’, you are welcome to bring friends and family. Some events will even let you book in multiple times.  Where there is payment required for an event, your family and friends may be need to pay normal ticket prices if the offer is not stated.

6. How do I log in to book tickets to an event?

In order to log-in, you must first register your details.

Go to the home page and in the blue column, type in your card number and click on ‘Activate’. You will go to a registration page and be asked to fill out your student ID number and details.

A verification email will be sent to your email address with instructions for you to follow.

Once this is done, your details are registered and you can log-in to the website using your student ID number and Culture Card number in the top right hand side of the website.

 

7. I haven’t received a confirmation email for activating my Culture Card

Please check your junk e-mail folder. If it still isn't there, please contact us.

 

8. What do I do if I lose my Culture Card?
